Normally, the tests and quizzes that are received in my class are on novels that are read and certain literary terms that are commonly used. Some of the quizzes given are over certain vocabulary words that are learned at the beginning of the semester, but we don't learn anymore as the semester progresses. With the vocabulary quizzes, like the one on the right, I do really good on as I better memorize those words, most of them thanks to Quigley that was shown to me. As I've done more vocabulary quizzes, I've come up with more strategies to come up with the answers and study these words.

Thanks to these quizzes, like the one shown on the right, I can provide a better example of using these devices in my own way. Once I read a story, I can think of better examples after I have learned and have been tested on these better. These skills taught have really helped me with trying to find these devices in my assignments when reading a novel. Especially when I take Cornell notes on these devices, I can study any kind of device found in a book a lot better than I could in the past. Overall, taking these tests has really improved my skills with finding different kinds of devices in my book. |
