Not very often are we passed out practice assignments on a lesson. Normally, we take several notes and handed a review on an assignments or novels that we are reading. But on these assignments, I've had a few troubles on because I've had a hard time understanding how to find the question and what exactly it's asking. Now, I can find answers to any of those problems and I know how to properly support my answer with evidence and persuading support in my own words. These kinds of assignments are passed out all the time in my class. Since I've worked more with these kind of assignments, I've been able to find more answers and find more support when it comes to reading an article and needing support from there.
The most common assignment done is In-Class Book Reports. These are normally given at the end, or beginning, of every month where we explain a book that we read and our thoughts on it. I've been doing really good on these book reports. This is because that I'm used to finding text-based evidence in a book and I can better support my answers when it comes to finding main ideas. Another assignment similar to book reports is summaries on any type of novel and the powerful literary devices that are used. I can analyze the types of literary devices that are used in a story very well, which is another reason how I can better support my answers to questions on a worksheet. This has helped because it helps better organize my information whenever I am writing, or typing, a paper. That is how the assignments given have better helped me with questions and essay that I've done.
