After every unit in Science, we have an assessment, or as my Science teacher, Mr. Lande, likes to call it, a Science Party. Assessments are simply the tests we take after each unit. As seen by the two tests that I've put on here, I normally do really great on the assessments given to us on these units. Although it's not a perfect score, I'm still very proud with how I do on all of my assessments. With all of the assessments I've done throughout my 9th grade year, the lowest grade I've gotten on an assessment in Science is a 91%. These assessments have a majority impact on our overall grade in the class. Before every assessment given, we do a review sheet on the unit to help refresh our memory on everything that we have learned on this unit. This occurs on the day before the test so we have something to review with. The day of the test, Mr. Lande asks the class any questions we have on the unit that we might not understand clearly. After that, the assessments are passed out and it normally doesn't take the entire class time to finish these assessments.
There are numerous topics that are covered on these tests. The kind of information provided is information on the periodic table, chemical equations, atomic structures, chemical bonds, and much more. It sounds like a lot of information to comprehend I know. I remember most of the information and study to double check if I'm correct. That's how I normally pass all of my science tests. In my opinion, the assessments are more easier than all of the other assignments that are passed out in my class. This is because I have a better understanding of all the information I'm supposed to know by the time the test comes. That is how I handle all of the assessments in my science class.
