Normally in AVID, practicing Cornell Note taking strategies has really helped me further advance in all of my classes. All ten steps of CORNELL WAY has made me take better notes I have taken before. With highlighting my key information, it can help me find what information I need much more easy, rather than skimming through everything and struggling to find everything. Thanks to looking at different Costa's Level of Questions, I can think past level 1 questions when coming up with better questions in my Cornell Notes.

One part of the Cornell Notes that has really helped me is the questions and summary of the Cornell Notes. The questions have helped me with creating a study guide whenever I have an upcoming test or when I need the information again by any chance. The summary helps recap all of the information that I've just taken notes on. Since I now know how to write higher leveled questions, I can make a thought-provoking summary to help me out. The one-step summary helps me get a better idea of how to properly write a well-thought out summary on understanding what's being taught.

Last year, I was terrible with taking Cornell Notes and properly using CORNELL WAY to help me. But since I practiced using it more and looked more examples of high-leveled questions, I've been able to make more advanced Cornell Notes and higher-leveled questions. I scored up to 6s ands 4s last year when taking Cornell Notes. Now this year, I'm making all 10s and a few 9s on my Cornell Notes.
